A postpartum doula assists the new mother, baby, and the rest of her family within the first few weeks after the birth of the
baby.   

I am the CAPPA Postpartum Doula Trainer for the state of California.  I hold several trainings per year throughout California.  
My 2-day course is the first step to becoming a CAPPA Certified Postpartum Doula.  

This course covers the following:

  • The Scope of Practice for Postpartum Doulas
  • How to work with various kinds of families
  • How to work with and support breastfeeding families
  • How to care for new mothers
  • How to support and educate and other family members
  • How to teach families various baby care techniques
  • Baby calming and soothing techniques

  • How to create resource lists for your clients
  • How to create contracts and other professional documents
  • How to market your business
  • How to create realistic schedules
  • The CAPPA Postpartum Doula Certification Process

Training fees are $350.00 and include the training manual.
NOTE: Certification packets, CAPPA Membership Fees, Videos, Books and Exam Processing Fees are NOT included.

This training is the first step in becoming a Certified Postpartum Doula.  The trainings are for 2
full days.  See schedule below to pick the dates and locations that work best for you:


August 8-9, 2009 in Valencia, CA
November 7-8, 2009 in Glendora, CA


Fee: $350
Fee includes 2-day workshop and training manual
Fee does NOT include certification packets, membership fees and exam processing fees

$100 non-refundable deposit due 30 days before the training to secure your spot.  
Balance due 2 weeks before the training.
